There were many kids but ours was the only one screaming.

I don’t know if it was the lack of nap or a new awareness of the life jacket or the sun in her eyes or a combo but we crossed Cascade Lake at a sprint to get into the shade and on shore to get her out of the boat and her life jacket.

Whatever the issue there was peace in the boat again and we got back on the water.

This is the same lake we paddled a year ago but this time (a month later in the year) was much more crowded and much sunnier (I sense a correlation!).

We wrapped up the sunny day with some local (delicious!!) ice cream.
