Cancer Survivors Whitewater kayaking

I want people to live life to the fullest. As an occupational therapist I get to help people do that after injury/illness

I really believe people involved in sports and activities with others is a great healing experience. You can get stronger and it doesn’t seem like work even though it’s hard. You can become happier without additional medications. You can work hard towards something that gives you a lot in return, including social circles, better health, new adventures, and fun stories.

So seeing this video was pretty exciting and I have to share about young adult cancer survivors and fighters taking up white water rafting, through a program called First Descents.

According to their website they do other programs as well, in various locations. Hood River, Oregon seems to be the closest kayaking program to Seattle.
